Leeds

My recent trip to leeds was winderful. My primary photography was street art and tages which I am using for exercise 3.2 Typography. However, I took a few of the city as well. Some I am keeping just for myself. They are interesting to me but not great photos. Here are some that I enjoy as photos as well as being part of my enjoyment of the wonderful city of Leeds.

    1. Thanks Judy. A little adjustment here and there in lightroom. I underexposed many of the photos so the sky had more contrast and brought up the buildings in developing. I wish I had recorded the arcade from no 7 so that I could add the title.

  1. Lovely set of pictures Richard, I particularly like 4, 6, 7 & 9. I am always drawn to likes in an image, my favourite of these is 7, I think this is a great image, I like the way the walkway leads and curves into the distance, the patterns formed by the floor tiles, round tables, ceiling and curved walls are wonderful. I also like the tonality of the image. For me this is the standout image.

  2. You have captured this vibrant city during a quiet period in rain so well Richard. It’s whole history is here. Along the railway the old industrial buildings blend with modern offices and flats and away in the distance churches that stand where dense housing once existed and on the skyline a glimpse of the moors. Then the bright lights, above and below ground, and every now and then people at work or relaxing or going on their way. Marvellous. Standout for me 1 and 9 not too glamourous Leeds ever evolving.
